152 Street Station

Location: Surrey, BC, Canada
Building Type: Elevated Rapid Transit Station
Project: Surrey Langley SkyTrain Extension (SLS)

Role: Architectural Lead (RFP Stage), Lead Architectural Designer (IDR & FDR Stages), Systems Coordination & Door Hardware Coordination

152 Street Station is one of eight stations forming part of the Surrey Langley SkyTrain Extension, a major rapid transit expansion connecting Surrey City Centre to Langley. Located adjacent to Fraser Highway, the elevated station serves as a key transit hub within the corridor and accommodates multiple bus connections, pedestrian access routes, and future development interfaces.

The station was designed as an elevated side-platform configuration and includes a mezzanine level, vertical circulation elements, pedestrian connections, and supporting transit infrastructure. As one of the most complex stations within the program, the design required extensive coordination between architectural, structural, civil, systems, and operational requirements while maintaining compliance with project agreements and performance criteria.

Project responsibilities included serving as Architectural Lead during the RFP stage for 152 Street Station, leading architectural design development through the IDR and FDR submission stages, coordinating station architecture with project systems, and managing door hardware coordination. The role also involved collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate technical, operational, accessibility, and passenger experience requirements throughout the design process.
