Efi Khayyam is a Co-Founder and Principal Architect at EMcan Architecture, bringing over two decades of professional architectural experience across Canada and internationally.
Her work spans residential, commercial, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and institutional projects, ranging from small-scale interventions to large and complex developments. Throughout her career, she has led projects through all phases of design and delivery, from early concept development and schematic design to construction and project completion.
Efi is passionate about creating thoughtful, context-sensitive architecture that balances design quality, technical excellence, and practical execution. With a strong understanding of both design and project delivery, she is particularly drawn to projects that involve complex regulatory requirements, community considerations, and multidisciplinary coordination, transforming constraints into opportunities for thoughtful and meaningful design.

Mahshid Taki is a Co-Founder and Principal Architect at EMcan Architecture with over 18 years of professional experience delivering projects across Canada and internationally. Her work spans transportation, infrastructure, residential, mixed-use, institutional, and community-focused developments.
Throughout her career, Mahshid has led projects through all phases of design and delivery, bringing extensive expertise in project leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, technical design, and stakeholder engagement. Her ability to navigate complex project requirements has contributed to the successful delivery of projects across a wide range of scales and sectors.
Known for her collaborative approach and strong technical foundation, Mahshid is committed to creating thoughtful, practical solutions that balance design quality, performance, and long-term value.
